May 12th, Maria reporting...
Hi All!
Thank you all so much for coming out to Salvatore's in Medford. What a fantastic nite! We will be back on July 14th and look forward to another evening of wonderful friends, great food and of course your favorite music :)
Lot's of new and exciting things happening. Check our calendar soon for updates and details :) Love to all <3
The score to the movie is moving along nicely..... I am in awe of what Gerry has written.
Just in case you haven't heard we have been asked to score a movie which is being filmed in Edgartown on Martha's Vineyard, written by Paul Antonelli! Gerry has already written some beautiful pieces and there are even parts for me with autoharp, flute and vocals yay!... It is a great script and again we can't say enough how grateful and very honored we are to be a part of it.

Here is the first trailer for your viewing pleasure....The Sea of Destiny...

The following was taken from Harmony Hill Monthly Newsletter, Written by Alfred Nesser
Maria Lena & Gerry Stafford (aka “Max Ex”) (Acoustic Duo)
www.facebook.com/maxextheband www.acousticmaxex.com www.myspace.com/mariaandgerry
"This incredible duo plays those rare songs that people love to hear, such as that Classic Legend, “Thick as a Brick”. Everywhere they perform they bring excitement and electricity to the stage. Gerry Stafford is a master and a teacher of many different kinds of Guitars, Mandolin, Keys. His vocals have the charm and accent of the English speaking Bard. His partner Maria Lena plays Flute, Autoharp, and also a little Keyboard, Tambourine, Shakers, etc... “anything that makes noise”... And her rich vocals vibrate with mystery.
Both presently living in Medford, Gerry is from the band "Ste. Gerard", formerly "GSB." Maria is formerly from "Synthesis" and "Full Moon" and a few acoustic duos here and there. Together now, they are collaborating and creating something very special, doing Acoustic Classic, Progressive, & Original Rock, playing to perfection those mysterious kinds of 70’s songs that only the most progressive radio stations would dare to play after the midnight hours, to that special brand of rebel seeking the deeper meanings of life and living. "
And lastly.... our songs for the week are
"Believe in Me" by Blackmore's Night
Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now"
Adele "Rolling in the Deep"
And....We are finishing up in the studio with Jackie Blue and more songs for the Score to the Movie "Sea of Destiny"

Gerry Stafford is endorsed by Carlino Guitars
